What is the Verisure Central Unit?
The Verisure Central Unit is the control panel for your monitored home security system, acting as the hub for all connected devices.
Often referred to as an alarm control panel or alarm panel, it differs from individual alarm devices, such as sensors or cameras, by acting as the central system that brings them together into one coordinated setup.
It also plays a key role within the system architecture, supporting the monitoring and management of activity across the property as part of a professional home security setup.
Please view our Statement of Compliance; the defined support period for this device is one year until 31 March 2027, and please note that if you stop using our services, we will be unable to provide security updates as access to the device is required to deliver them.

Verisure Central Unit features and connectivity[

When an alert is triggered, the ARC can review the information in real time, helping determine the appropriate response based.
LTE 4G connectivity
LTE 4G connectivity provides a stable link between the Central Unit and the Alarm Receiving Centre, allowing information to be transmitted independently of the property’s local internet connection.
This means monitoring remains active even if standard broadband connectivity is disrupted, supporting consistent performance.

Diagnostics and firmware updates
Built-in diagnostics allow the Central Unit to monitor system performance and identify potential issues as they arise.
Firmware updates can be applied both locally and remotely, so the system can remain up to date with the latest functionality and security improvements - including how it is accessed through its user interface.
Battery backup and system resilience
Battery backup allows for continued operation during power cuts, helping preserve communication between the alarm system and monitoring services even when mains power is unavailable.
Combined with independent connectivity and system monitoring, this helps reduce the risk of interruption during unexpected events, supporting a more resilient home security setup.
